Eddy Energy was founded by cleantech veterans who believe that decarbonization will require the maximum use of all of our infrastructure, from the transmission lines along the highway to the distribution lines on your street.  With deep experience and a clear strategic focus, we are developing projects now to power the energy system of the future.

  • Sam Maslin

    Chief Executive Officer

    Sam is the CEO of Eddy Energy, leading all corporate development, market entry, power marketing and partnerships. He has fifteen years of experience developing renewable energy projects and smart grid systems across major markets in North America. Previously Sam was VP of Energy Storage at Endurant Energy, where he led a team and a 200 MWh pipeline of distributed storage assets. Prior to that he was with Stem, where he led business development and product marketing for the front-of-the-meter storage segment. Over his career Sam has held roles at Opus One Solutions, GE, ARPA-e, Recurrent Energy, and Silicon Valley Power. He has a BA from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the University of Texas.

  • Vivek Pandya

    Chief Development Officer

    Vivek is the Chief Development Officer of Eddy Energy, leading all project development, and site acquisition strategy. He has fifteen years of experience in power and renewable energy and has led the development of over 9 GW of solar, wind, and storage projects across North America. He previously led standalone storage development efforts at Broad Reach Power (BRP) with a focus on greenfield projects in CAISO, MISO, and major northeast US markets. Prior to joining BRP, Vivek led the development of a multi-GW portfolio of utility-scale solar projects across WECC, ERCOT, PJM and MISO, including several first of their kind utility-scale net-energy-metered solar projects in Texas. He has a BS from the University of Pennsylvania.

  • Noah Hyte

    Advisor

    Noah is the Co-Founder of Cultivate Power, and currently serves as a Managing Director of the distributed solar and storage development and investment firm. Noah has served in executive, leadership and project management roles across midstream gas infrastructure, wind, distributed and utility scale solar, and stand-alone storage asset development teams at Cypress Creek Renewables, NextEra Energy Resources and Cardinal Gas Storage. He has a BA from the University of Georgia and a MBA from the University of North Carolina.

  • Brian Matthay

    Advisor

    Brian is the Co-Founder of Cultivate Power, and currently serves as a Managing Director of the distributed solar and storage development and investment firm. His career in renewables has spanned most aspects of the independent power producer business model with a focus on structured project finance, tax equity investing, corporate finance, capital allocation, M&A, project development, and operations. He has a B.A. in Environmental Science and Policy from Harvard and an M.S. in Resource Economics from U.C. Davis.
