Description of Role:

The Project Developer will be an integral and direction-setting member of Eddy’s team, taking ownership of a key portion of Eddy’s project development pipeline as the lead developer for the Northwest region.  This portfolio is critical to the success and growth of Eddy, and the development lead will be held to very high standards.  Success will be highly rewarded both in terms of compensation as well as responsibility and opportunities for career growth

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Report of Chief Development Officer

  • Lead land acquisition efforts; manage land acquisition consultants

  • Point-of-contact with utility off-takers, understanding and meeting off-taker goals and project priorities

  • Lead all local permitting processes, understanding relevant jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction rules and codes, zoning, and effectively managing permitting consultants

  • Lead all interconnection processes, understanding local interconnection rules, interconnection strategy, POI selection and hosting capacity, and capacity/RA eligibility

  • Responsible for site design, working with outside engineering and EPC firms to design projects that best conform to site and local grid specifications

  • Monitor local market, program, and regulatory environment, identifying project and off-take opportunities in a timely fashion

  • Manage all future hires to support development activity in the region.

Qualifications:

  • 7 years or more of project development experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work with local landowners, communities and other stakeholders on new projects

  • Demonstrated ability to drive energy project development outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly take ownership of task areas and drive results

  • Subject matter expertise in renewable energy and electric grid fundamentals

  • Desire to work in a dynamic, collaborative, and risk-taking environment

  • Desire to help grow small company into a leading platform

  • Desire to grow career and step into a leadership role commensurate with firm growth

  • A clear and proactive communicator

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of time

Location:

Preference is for candidates located in the Pacific Northwest, or alternatively in San Francisco. We will consider remote employment for well qualified candidates and as long as there is overlap with Eddy’s development efforts.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary range of $85,000 – $115,000, commensurate with related qualifications and experience/educational background

  • Bonus and equity compensation

  • This is an entrepreneurial role that comes with significant project success incentives—compensation will be structured to best fit the opportunity and candidate;
